Welcome to The Carat Commons – where perfect diamonds meets fair pricing, no gatekeepers allowed.
By using this site or buying from us, you’re agreeing to the terms below. We’ve kept it in plain language because legal jargon is just another way the industry hides behind complexity. Not here.
1. Who We Are
This website is operated by The Carat Commons Company, ABN 85 106 280 738. When we say “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean The Carat Commons Company. When we say “you,” we mean you — a real human shopping for diamonds without the B.S.
2. Products & Pricing
We do our best to ensure every product listing is accurate — including carat, clarity, colour, cut, dimensions, and price. But sometimes typos happen. If there's a mistake, we’ll fix it fast and treat you fairly.
All pricing is in Australian Dollars (AUD) and includes GST unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices at any time — but what you see at checkout is what you pay.
3. Payment & Security
We accept payment via secure, trusted gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Afterpay, etc). Your payment info is encrypted and handled by third parties — we never see your full card details.
All orders must be paid in full before shipment unless you've entered a formal payment plan with us (e.g. for custom designs).
4. Shipping
We ship Australia-wide and internationally via tracked, insured courier. Shipping times depend on location and whether your item is in-stock, made-to-order, or custom. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
Once your parcel is in transit, it’s in the hands of the courier — but if anything goes wrong, we’ve got your back and will support working with the courier to find a resolution.
5. Returns & Refunds

6. Custom & Made-to-Order Items
Custom diamonds and bespoke rings are made just for you. That means they’re final sale — but if something’s not right, we’ll always try to make it right. We want happy customers, not trapped ones.
7. Warranties & Repairs
Our stones are lab-grown and certified — and our settings are made to last. But diamonds aren’t indestructible. Chips, scratches, and knocks can happen if you're rough with your jewellery.
We don’t offer lifetime warranties (they’re mostly marketing fluff), but we’ll always be upfront about how to care for your piece, and we’re happy to refer you to local repair partners.
8. Legal Stuff
This agreement is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If a dispute arises, we’ll do everything we can to resolve it with transparency and fairness.
